RSVP for 9/12, Transitioning from Summertime to School Days: Fostering Resilience and Independence in 5-10 Year Olds with Beth Irwin, MA, LPC

"Our goal this year is to provide the community with educational opportunities that hit their parenting pain points. The partnership between school and home is critical in guiding our students, and the more we can collaborate to provide the children of Glencoe with a strong support system, the better. We look forward to expanding our shared knowledge base as a parent/educator team through the learning sessions we offer."
~ Mrs. Betty Weir, Director of Professional Learning

Parenting in The Digital Age

Family Service of Glencoe, Glencoe District 35 and Dr. Georgia Bozeday (Executive Director of Rush Neurobehavioral Center) invited parents of 4th through 8th grade students to discuss:

  • The research on screen time and brain development
  • The apps and tools our children are using
  • Tips to support our children and parents in this digital age

The more we learn about the impact of screen time, the better we can serve our children.
