Welcome to 2022!

Dear District 35 families,

We are so pleased to have our students and staff back within the schools. Please be mindful of the following points as we reestablish a safe return to our schools and daily routines.

• Please monitor carefully for COVID-19 symptoms each day. If your child has any symptoms, please keep them home from school, report the absence, and obtain a COVID test. A negative PCR test is required to return to school if symptoms are present.
• Ensure your child is ready with well-fitting masks. Surgical or KN95 are recommended instead of cloth masks.
• If your child is not in our weekly COVID testing program, click here to see other local testing options.
• Please be sure to alert your school nurse if your child tested positive for COVID during the winter break.  We will update our records accordingly for future testing and exposures.

Within each school, we are monitoring all cases and our operational steps very carefully. We anticipate a spike in cases over the next few weeks and will re-evaluate surrounding details as cases emerge. A more pressing number is staff absences and the ability to sustain all classrooms in the safest manner possible. Staff members are diligently upholding our mitigation layers and we are prepared to adapt quickly should any new information warrant a change in our health protocols or learning plans.
