Illinois Distracted Driving Awareness Week
April 23rd - April 27th
Glencoe Public Safety will be paying extra attention to people driving while on their cell phones. Let us all lead by example by eliminating distractions such as talking, reading a text or email on cell phones while driving. No matter how confident a person is in their driving skills, there are no special abilities that make it safe to use a phone while driving. Please be mindful to Just Drive.
New Trier Township Innovation & Tech Expo
On Saturday, April 28th, District 35 along with the other New Trier Township schools are hosting a free Innovation & Tech Expo for parents & teachers. This conference-style event will run from 8:30AM to 12:00PM in the newly designed learning spaces of New Trier’s east campus (385 Winnetka Ave., Winnetka).
Attendees will be able to select from a variety of breakout sessions. Click here to see details and register. Township teachers, staff, and students will lead these sessions to inform and inspire participants as they learn about how innovations in technology are impacting the learning experience and their 21st century lives. Registration is not required, but highly recommended.

If your child will be absent from school, please call the District 35 absence line (847-835-7801) to report the absence. In addition, if your child participates in a Park District class after school, please be mindful that you must also call and report your child’s absence to the Park District. Thank you!
The school district may release directory information which includes:
Birth date and place
Parent(s)/guardian(s) name and address
Period of attendance in school
Additionally, student pictures without identifying information may be posted on the district web page with informational pieces. Any parent(s)/guardian(s) may prohibit the release of any or all of the above by delivering a written objection to the Building Principal.
