West School Crawford Learning Center Guidelines

The CLC is open daily from 8:45 a.m-3:15 p.m.

Students visit the library once a week to learn about research skills, Internet safety, genres of literature, check-out books and much more. In addition, students may visit the library to check out books throughout the day with permission from their classroom teacher.

Students may check out three library books at a time. All material is due one week after checkout. Students may renew library materials at any time.

Overdue Books

We do not charge a fine for overdue books. Overdue notices are sent out on a routine basis, usually every six weeks. Notices will be sent via email and a paper copy sent home with the student. If a student has an overdue book, it is up to the discretion of the library staff if the student will be allowed to check out additional material.

Damaged and Lost Book

We understand that accidents happen. Students are responsible for the materials they checkout. If items are damaged, students will be charged the replacement cost of the materials. If a student loses a book, he or she will be billed for the replacement cost. Checks should be made out to Glencoe Public Schools. Refunds will be given for books located within 60 days.
