History of West School

West School was built in 1957 and designed by architects, Perkins and Will. The school was designed in a very different style than South and Central and noted for its structural design in keeping with the neighborhood. More architectural details may be found here.

WEST SCHOOL: Third and Fourth Grades
Glencoe's  intermediate school is a cheerful, friendly and child-centered environment.  It is located adjacent to Park District play fields and tennis courts and near the Chicago Botanic Garden and Skokie Lagoons.  Each of these areas enhance learning opportunities for students.
