Learning in our Schools

 Assessment

Within the Glencoe Schools we use a combination of formative and summative assessment options to consider student strengths and areas for continued growth.

 Core Content

District 35 provides students with enriching experiences in literacy, math, science, and social studies. Curriculum in each grade level has been designed using the Illinois Arts Learning Standards.

 Mindfulness

Through the generosity of the Glencoe PTO, we are pleased to support the return of in-person Mindfulness learning in all classrooms throughout District 35.

 Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)

District 35 utilizes the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process to support all students by employing a comprehensive framework that addresses each students’ diverse needs.

 PTO Student Clubs

The Glencoe PTO generously funds a range of before and after school clubs. Registration information is shared via the weekly news.

 Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

In addition to focusing on a strong educational foundation, District 35 emphasizes social-emotional learning (SEL) for all students. This is a critical component of the classroom community.
